Another thing I recently did for SooJin. This prompt for this was "Having a lot to consider/decipher through". Again, thanks so much to SooJin!

Long time no blog update, so here is something I did a while ago. AD: SooJin Buzelli. My favorite pieces always end up being the ones I did for SooJin. Here it is in layout: http://www.pseuropedigital.com/pseurope/autumn2010#pg34

Here is my small contribution to the Fairy Tale project. Each artist writes and illustrates what happens next in the story. Here is the illustration, you can read my written part on the site.

Prints
I've been getting a lot of requests for prints (thanks for your interest everyone!) and finally I'm having some released by INPRNT.
Here's the link to my page: http://www.inprnt.com/gallery/dadu_shin
I know a lot of people were wondering about "Upgrades" and "Inside or Out", right now I'm trying to get those as prints as well and will announce it when they finally get out.
(EDIT: Inside or Out is now available on INPRNT)
Speaking of "Upgrades" here it is in PLANADVISER. Thanks again to SooJin Buzelli, I really love the final layout.

Back to the blog
So graduation happened! I'm back at home (moving to New York soon). Thankfully i've been keeping busy working on different projects. This was one of them. Last month SooJin Buzelli called me and asked me to do the cover for the july issue of PLANSPONSOR. Well needless to say I was pretty excited about it. I looked through the last couple covers and came across the work of Chris Silas Neal, Jillian Tamaki, Shout, Yuko Shimizu, Chris Buzelli and a few others. Yeahhhhh, pretty awesome but also a very hard act to follow. I had just moved back home and my brain was kind of scattered but here's what I came up with. I want to thank SooJin for taking a chance on me. Thanks so much SooJin!

I'm Almost a Real Person
Personal piece. I'm graduating soon (congrats to everyone who already did!) and there are a lot of things going on. It's been super nice out lately and senioritis is at an all time high right now. However I keep telling myself to stay on course, stay focused and work straight through the distractions. So that's what this is about. That said, I'm going outside to enjoy the beautiful weather today.

New Things
hello. here are some new pieces. I'm making more use of my Ohger blog now, but will try to keep on posting here as well. some sketchbook pages coming soon.
So I'm kind of redoing my entire portfolio and trying to constantly make new work. I've been choosing random editorial articles and doing illustrations for them. This one was about "getting an upgrade".
Illustration inspired by the book "Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls. When I was in elementary school my teacher read it aloud to my class and it immediately became one of my favorite books. It made me want a dog so bad and when I did eventually get one many years later, I was always afraid of losing him in the woods surrounding my house. Some of you might have seen another version of this...but I decided to go back into it and clean it up a little bit.
I want a cat now though.
